What are you doing with your older or outdated computer equipment?

Landfills don't want them.

Charities only want working computers and are generally not equipped with the personnel or resources to use most of the equipment they receive, so it goes to the landfill anyway.

How many old computers just sit in the storage room until you decide what to do with them?

Do you know if you have proprietary or licensed materials still installed on the computers?

2Geckos will evaluate your old equipment. If it is working and your favorite charity needs it, then we will ensure that any proprietary or licensed materials are completely erased, if the data is very sensitive then the hard drive may need to be removed and destroyed.

2Geckos will then deliver it to the charity and bring you a receipt with the approximate value for your records.

Do you have another need for the old computer?  Gifts or for home use, 2Geckos will refurbish your old computer to give it another purpose. 

If the equipment is not suitable for donation we will break it down to metals, glass, plastics, and remove hazardous materials to dispose of them properly.

This is a new service and we will price our services based on the labor involved. 
Currently we charge $80 for the first computer and $40 for additional computers, we will also remove peripherals such keyboard, mouse, monitor, and printers at the same time (to be determined during evaluation).
